Quarterback automatically tracks all your ASX announcements and calculates market impact metrics including abnormal returns and statistical significance.

Step 1: View Your Announcements

  1. Open the Dashboard
  2. Click Announcements in the navigation
  3. View your announcement timeline

Step 2: Understand the Metrics

For each announcement, Quarterback displays:

Price Impact

  • CAR(-1, +1): 3-day return around announcement
  • CAR(0, +5): Week-long sustained impact
  • Z-Score: Statistical significance

Market Context

  • Index performance: How the broader market moved
  • Sector comparison: How peers performed
  • Volume analysis: Trading activity changes

Step 3: Analyze Individual Announcements

Click any announcement to see:

  1. Summary: Announcement title and category
  2. Price chart: Stock movement around the date
  3. Sentiment: How the market reacted
  4. Activity: Related mentions and coverage
