Campaign Monitor Integration
See how Campaign Monitor email campaigns perform alongside social, media, and market activity. Once connected, campaign metrics and subscriber data are pulled in automatically.

Connection Details
The Campaign Monitor integration requires two credentials. These are usually provided during onboarding, but you can update them at any time.
Finding Your API Key
In Campaign Monitor, your API key lives under Account Settings → API Keys. Log in, navigate there, and copy the key.
Treat your API key like a password — anyone with it can read your campaign data. Never paste it into a public channel.
Finding Your Client ID
Each Campaign Monitor client has its own ID. You'll find it in the URL while viewing the client:
- Log in to Campaign Monitor
- Navigate to the client you want to connect
- Look at your browser's address bar — the URL will be
app.createsend.com/clients/YOUR_CLIENT_ID - Copy everything after
/clients/— that's your Client ID
Connecting
- In Quarterback, navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Toggle Campaign Monitor on
- Paste your API Key and Client ID
- Click Save Changes
What Gets Tracked
Once connected, Quarterback imports campaign data automatically:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Campaign sends | Total emails sent per campaign |
| Open rate | Percentage of recipients who opened |
| Subscriber counts | Number of active subscribers on each list |
| Campaign timing | When campaigns were sent |
Campaign Monitor metrics appear in:
- Broadcast Performance – Every campaign as a row in the grid, plus aggregate engagement
- Activities – Email campaigns show as activities with engagement details
- Reports – Campaign performance in board and broadcast reports
Disconnecting
Toggle Campaign Monitor off in Settings → Integrations to disconnect. Your API Key and Client ID are cleared from the database. Historical campaign data already imported into Quarterback is retained.
